Buy ARA-290 from PSPeptides — a research-grade, non-hematopoietic peptide derived from erythropoietin, supplied at 99%+ purity for laboratory and research use only. Each 10MG vial is manufactured in the US and independently verified by third-party HPLC and mass spectrometry testing before it ships. Researchers can buy ARA-290 online through PSPeptides with confidence in every batch’s documented purity.
What Is ARA-290?
ARA-290, also known as cibinetide, is an 11-amino acid peptide engineered from the helix B surface region of erythropoietin. Unlike erythropoietin, it binds selectively to the innate repair receptor rather than the classic erythropoietin receptor, which is why it is described in the literature as “non-erythropoietic” — it does not stimulate red blood cell production. This selective binding profile is the basis for its use in tissue-protection and inflammation research models.
The peptide grew out of decades of research into the tissue-protective side of erythropoietin biology, work closely associated with researchers Michael Brines and Anthony Cerami, whose studies helped separate EPO’s blood-building activity from its independent cell-protective signaling. Many labs that buy ARA-290 today are building directly on that foundational research. Learn more in our complete guide to peptides.
Key Research Applications
- Neuroinflammation studies: Investigated in small fiber neuropathy and nerve-repair research models.
- Tissue-protection research: Studied for effects on cell survival under metabolic and oxidative stress.
- Immune modulation models: Used to examine macrophage activity and inflammatory signaling pathways.
- Transplantation research: Explored in islet cell and organ-protection study designs.
- Metabolic research: Examined alongside diabetic-complication models for effects on nerve and vascular tissue.
- Ophthalmic research: Studied in early-phase trials related to diabetic macular edema.
